Big Painting Goes to Its New Home

The big painting met its new owners this afternoon. They were happy with it. It was a really fun collaborative process to work with them and then be able to deliver their vision.
I learned a lot about how to paint comissions sucessfully from this painting. The most important lesson was showing the people my work in progress on the painting often so I could see if it was what they had in mind. They also had specific color tones they wanted as well as specific colors some of which you can see in the pillow on the chair beside the painting.
The painting is going to hang in a home in Napa Valley in the heart of the wine country

Did you get a bottle of wine? This is lovely. How difficult to stick to a colour scheme. Well anyway it is a great painting and I can see why they are pleased
