Painting in My Own Backyard

Painting in a reasonably small size journal is the easiest way for me to paint when I am traveling. I have noticed inspiring scenery and excellent shadows in my own neighborhood, usually when I am driving home from the local supermarket. I always think about painting these buildings but somehow don't, until recently.
Once a week myself and some other painting buddies have decided to paint in our own neighborhood. We are having a good time and after we finish painting I can always stop at the market and pick up a loaf of bread or something else we've run out of.
