Another Post From Monet's Blog

I wandered around my garden this morning looking for something to paint. I waited for inspiration to strike, then tripped over a rock and my eyeglasses flew off. I am blind as a bat without my glasses, and couldn't see past the end of my nose as I searched for my spectacles. Unfortunately, I stepped on them. The good news is that only one lens was broken and I could see pretty well out of one lens, my vision was just a bit fuzzy. Here is the sketch I did after I found my glasses, I know it looks funny and a little out of focus, its kind of just a quick "impression" of the side of my house.

You're in the same situation as me. Lost my glasses and couldnt see. Was painting The Fighting Temeraire as she came in to be broken up. I painted her with masts, but apparently she didn't have any. Take care in future. Will Turner

I live in fear of smashing my glasses, but based on your wonderful painting, I guess I can let that one go. :-)

Linda,
You are so kind to comment on my painting. I do prefer to paint with my glasses on, but somehow the paintings I do while wearing glasses don't seem to sell. Love, Claude
