We didn't follow our directions very well and ended up lost. When we called Allen's for directions, his kind, wife Lesley told us to turn right at the chateau. We got lost again. After a few more phone calls, we realized there were 4 chateaux and we had turned at the wrong one.
We finally found Allen and Lesly's blue shuttered home and spent a great afternoon learning the British approach to plein aire watercolor painting. Our subject, which Allen showed us how to paint step by step was the chateau on the hill accross the street from his house.
