Autobiographical Painting

This is a painting exercise for a workshop I will be teaching next week in Arizona. The workshop is about how to arrange a composition using quaint subject matter. When I was mid way thru the painting I decided it was really boring. However, I didn't want to put in anything in that wasn't quaint enough. Suddenly I decided to make it an autobiographically painting and put in subject matter that was meaningful to me. This is how it turned out. What is your definition of quaint?

I don't know if I would call it quaint, but the addition of the tea pot and Ferragamo-esque shoes is charming!

I like the little dog on the leash and that you can't see who is holding the leash.

Thanks for a wonderful class last week at Art Unraveled, Barbara!
