My definition of travel painting is: to paint anywhere, anytime. Painting anywhere means that you can paint in your own backyard or you can travel anywhere in the world and paint ( including Tuscany).
Oh, and you don't have to be an experienced painter to enjoy travel painting.
Yesterday, some really nice people came to my studio to learn how to travel paint. They learned what tools and materials to use, and practiced their watercolor painting techniques. We also made some pocket size paint sets out of Altoids tins to take along on our journeys. A good time was had by all.
