Painting Takes Patience or Rome Was Not Built In A Day

Sometimes you don't have time to finish a painting on location. When time is short and you can't complete your painting on the spot, make sure you have a sketch done and have the shadows and direction of light noted. Then you can finish your painting at a later date.
Here is a sketchbook painting I started in Pienza, Italy and added a few more colors and brush strokes yesterday in California.
